Yes I am going to affiliate summit east. Yes its going to be a blast. And yes I’m not too much off an affiliate, I’m more of a publisher I guess you can say. But all of my “internet friends” are affiliates and they are all going, so I got obligations to live up to.
I have been to one affiliate summit before, that was Las Vegas back in 2007. It was a blast and I actually learned a lot. But surprisingly it wasn’t from the classes, it was room partying with the big affiliates that get too drunk and start slipping valuable tips. And not valuable tips like “use free traffic” LOLOL. I mean like “hey Jon, you should check out blahblah.com, I’m killing that affiliate program because Opera endorses it”. Shit like that.
However, I will be attending most of the classes because I do want to get the most out of my full pass I have. So I will be going to most of the classes and be taking notes and fun shit like that. I will also be hitting the partys and networking with as many people as I can. One of the things I regret from last years was I didn’t get in contact with many people after the conference. This year will be different, I hope to get some people pushing some of my own affiliate programs and maybe hooking up with some exclusive affiliate programs. Not to mention as much knowledge I can get out of the pro’s that will be attending the conference.
So anyways, are you thinking of going? This conference does cost money, it was about $500 for my plane ticket, plus the full pass, plus hotel, plus spending money. So I will spending about $1500 just to have a good time and get some knowledge. So if you are thinking about going you have to ask yourself if its worth it. If you are brand new to affiliate marketing then it probably isn’t worth it to go out to Boston, however if you are making money off the internet and want to learn how to make more it probably is a good idea to spend some money and go talk with the pros to learn how to expand you business.

I would also like to go to that summit but I live in Europe and it is very hard for me to get to Boston, USA.
