BuyBookmarks.Net Launches In Beta
September 26th, 2008 by Jon Waraas

You knew I was going to do this. Social bookmarking is one of the best ways to gain quality backlinks to help you rank your website higher in the SERP’s. I personally spend $200-$400 a month on social bookmarks EVERY MONTH. I know… that’s a car payment! But that is how much an impact that social bookmarks make on a website.

So in true Waraas style I am reselling social bookmarks with my website Social Bookmaks. Right now I am selling 2 different package, one is dofollow and nofollow mixed in with each other. I actually use this one a lot because of the traffic (most high traffic social sites are nofollow) and because for the price it is still a good investment. I am also selling just dofollows, which is better for pure SEO.

So why launch it in beta? Well because these last few months I have been working on an automated backend for BuyBlogComments.Com, BuyAnswersLinks.Com, and now BuyBookmarks.Net. And with BuyBookmarks.Net I will be able to test it. Starting Monday I will be implementing a system were customers get a username and password so they can check there current order status and order more packages at a discounted price. The website is also in beta because its not 100% done, I still need to finish the custom package page, some edits to the design, and make a PPC landing page.

Because I want to rejoice the launch of BuyBookmarks.Net I will be having a sale on social bookmarks until Monday morning. After the sale the dofollow/nofollow package will be priced at $17.99, but until Monday I will sell the package for $13.99. As for the dofollow only package, it will be cut from $24.99 to $19.99. 2 Great offers.

Let me know what you guys think, any suggestions?

If you enjoyed this blog post than I think you should subscribe to the RSS feed. That way you can learn a lot more from me and laugh some more at my really bad grammar. Again, here is the link for the RSS feed.

Jon,

I’m a regular reader of your blog and there’s two things I would suggest you do. I’m just being honest because you are asking for suggestions…

1. Answer replies on the Sitepoint Marketplace - I replied to one of your advertising posts and had to PM you to reply to it. Then, I re-replied to your answer saying I couldn’t enter a long url and you never replied.

2. Feedback - I’ve read negative feedback on Sitepoint and even on your blog saying “Two weeks and I’ve heard nothing”. Whilst I appreciate not every customer will be happy, leaving these comments without replying shows you either don’t care or it is true. Try to answer these replies so other potential customers can see you are legitimate.

3. Refund policy - due to point two, I would implement a refund policy saying if a customer does not receive their report within two weeks you will provide an immediate refund. Give some customers that are hesitant something to be confident about.

I hope these points help you. I am very interest in all three things you offer but I’ve never bought them due to the comments above.

Cheers,

Khalid.

I will be adding this today. So far we are using the same backend we used from bbc and bal.

What sort of traffic increase (if any) should we be seeing if we purchase one of packages?

Also does it work better for certain types of sites?

James,

The traffic increase is nothing huge. You might get something like 50 uniques the first day and slowly go down from there. Thats what I usually get.

You can get indians to do this for you if you know where to look. But I guess using a legitimate service works too

I must admit, I am intrigued.

It seems slightly blackhat, but then if you think about it, you would do it yourself if you could afford to spend the time and energy, so if you can afford to spend the money instead, why not?

And anyway it is just a form of advertising really, is something like PPC advertising any better?

I don’t know if i am just justifying it to myself, but I have this little urge to try it :).
