Cheap niches are for pussys

So once in a while I have people on my msn or aim ask me how to make dat money. I tell them… The easiest way to make money on the interwebs are adsense sites. They then proceed to say… But Jonathan I have a few websites! I reply with… Link me! And then they show me some duplicated content shiz niz website made from a turnkey backend such as this one (not that I have a problem with it).

I shake my head in disbelief. First of all there isnt many people that can make good money with myspace sites anymore. There are a few reasons:

1) The cost per click (CPC) is shitty, something like .06 with adsense. You wont be making any money with dat.
2) Myspace dosen’t send any traffic now. Since they put those filters on external sites the traffic has gone way down.
3) Way to much competition.

And the list goes on…

I then proceed to tell them that they wont make any money with those pussy niches. Go for the big ones. Why get paid .06 per click when you can make 2.00 per click?

At this point they usually ask me how would they do such a thing? Its easy! Use the formulation below:

Wordpress + quality content + Adsense + Bookmarks + Lots and lots of tweaking + time = money

Its actually pretty simple. Use wordpress to build a good looking site with high CTR for your adsense. Then either pay someone or write articles yourself. Then do research on keywords and rank up for those keywords. Then watch the money poor in.

Can’t think of any niches? Try nicheaday! The first niche they send you is spyware…. Are you ready for part 2 ?

AdSense is great and mixed in with some network offers it isn’t hard to make a few bucks blogging.

Thing is most people give up too quickly. Or worse, don’t take advice to improve their position.

exactly what i do to make money. I think links and good keyword research are most important. There are tons of great untapped keywords out there. Seems so simple up there, but I put a hell of a lot of time into my sites.
