plain and simple, mac makes better use of it’s hardware.

mac running at 1.6ghz is like windows on 2.8ghz dual core.

imagine what a 2.2ghz+ mac can do!

go to the store and try your hardest to lag osx. it’s very hard to do.

Dont be a cheap bastard an get a mac. Then you understand how nice it is to actualy turn a computer on an it works. could always get a nice dell with vista ………..hahhahha have fun

The extra price is mostly the cost of the OS, and otherwise the cost of having that Apple on the back of your screen.

The thing that persuaded me to get a mac book pro was when I went to a Microsoft convention and all the Microsoft guys were using mac book pros with vista on.

They said it was to show that vista could work on all laptops but it was obvious how much quicker everything ran. Even on laptops with similar spec, the mac book was better. If you’re happy with Linux then mabe you dont really need a mac, but if you’re asking if it’s worth the money, yes!

Think yourself lucky, over here in the UK, macs are twice as expensive as they are in the US.

Mark: Its funny seeing someone actually Pro Windows.

Besides, any MAC power user knows that they’ve had two button mouse support since the 90s but my mother who who I bought a for MAC doesn’t need to know this and it keeps her from messing with advanced settings.

Jon: If you get a laptop; tap two fingers on the trackpad for right-click.
Trackpad:
Single click: tap once with one finger.
Double click: tap twice with one finger.
Scroll: Drag two fingers down, up, left or right.
Right click: tap once with two fingers.

You really don’t need the single button that they do provide (I don’t use it.).

Before I got into this internet marketing thing I was going to be a sysadmin. I’m an A+ Certified PC technician, Network + certified, and a Microsoft Certified Professional. Basically, I know the my way around a PC better than most people.

I changed my focus to web design, and my co-worker, who is a long time designer, recommended a Mac. I didn’t give in for a long time, but last year I finally got a Macbook Pro.

Holy shit it’s awesome. It works fantastically. No more freezes, bugs, and other bullshit. I love the OS X operating system!

I haven’t felt like throwing my computer across the room since I got this baby. It’s worth twice what I paid for it.

I had to use Windows Vista on someone else’s computer yesterday and it made me want to kill myself.

I would vote on getting a mac. 30 inch cinema display and their TWO button mouse. It makes a world of difference for me; 4 gigs a ram? Can’t it only see 3? Im not sure if that issue is fixed with Windows yet but if you bought 4 gigs in a Mac you get use out of all 4 vs. just having the 4th one chilling there

I have an iRiver which I bought after a few friends told me that it is better than iPod, much like the mp3 players from Sony or Creative. Screw iPod. Too big and too expensive. And Mac? I have one old iBook but I almost never use it. PC rules. For the money I churned out to make my configuration with two amazingly bright LG 19” LCD screens I am more than satisfied. Couldn’t get that much power and screen real estate for any Apple configuration. Screw them – they may be really user-friendly and virus-free, but definitely too expensive.
