February Blog Income Stats

Well, my blog’s income is slowly going up. Which is great. But I think that I almost peaked my blog’s income until I start getting more subscribers. I have been at 650ish for like 2 months now, and I need to get that up. So expect good articles and maybe some contests this month, I would like to go up 100 rss readers every month.

Luckily I don’t depend on my blog revenue. If I would I would have to cut way back on the beer and ammo spending :) What I do to make an income online is e-commerce websites. I used to rely on developer hut, inc. but since its getting harder and harder to convert that kinda traffic I have been relying more on e-commerce, which is what I suggest for you guys too. Recently Uber wrote a blog post calling out the “experts” in there field to post there actual income instead of just there blogs’ income. I thought about it and starting on April 1st I will be posting my blogs income along with Developer Hut, Inc. income stats. So I will be posting jonwaraas.com stats and developerhut.com stats. I am thinking about posting my PPC income stats too, these last 3 months I have been working my ass off on it and I have been making good money off of it, but I will think about posting those stats.

Ok, so tlast month, February, my blog made $605 in revenue. Which is an $85 increase from January. Which I am very happy with. Some of the ways I got a little bit more profit from my blog where the 250×250 in-content banner ad which is sold to Instant Coding, and the huge 728×90 leaderboard which is sold to my buddie Wes at tracking202. I also sold a few more 125×125 banners on the side, which are all sold out. I might be raising the price to $30 a month soon. However, the paid plugs are what bring in a decent size part of the income, they are also the best for advertisers because it will provide the highest return for them.

I am curious as to what ecommerce sites you have running and how much they are bringing in. I just think its weird you never openly discuss them. Never really see you post anything e commerce related either? Just wondering what kind of experience you got ?

I got a free membership to Seobook.com’s training and I just see his better training. I guess I just didn really consider buyblogcomments.com an ecommerce site my bad. I understand not disclose but I thought buyblogcomments wasnt doing so hot. but cheers that is doing somewhat good.

but now I see that you have done like 30 thousand comments…That pretty impressive.

Congrats, I just thought a lot of people were against the service. I honestly don’t think it is really any less ethical then taking paid reviews or paid posts as well.

Innovative idea that works.

Well done Jon!

It’s always a confirmation for me that total no. subscribers of a blog is most likely also what they make in revenue. In most cases, revenue is a little bit more then number of subscribers though!

I’m looking at some ideas for ecommerce sites now as I’ve gone off the idea of putting ads on my blogs, although I understand every site should at least pay for itself. I need to find something less obtrusive for it I think :)
