As soon as I heard someone mention this I went and googled it. Looks like they where talking about doing it earlier this year. But they are backing out of it.
It doesn’t make any sense for them to merge, they are big time competitors that are having the same issues. Auto consumers want rigs with great gas mileage. And this 18 mpg ain’t cutting it. Ford and GM.. Ford most importantly, needs to get there head in the game and start making some competitive cars that go face to face with Toyota(Toyota’s stock is $100 plus right now) and Honda.
I am a fan of Ford trucks. There cars are another story, they need to rethink there business focus…
GM cant be bragging about anything either. There cars are nothing better thans Fords.
I would rather get a Toyota car over a ford or a Chevy car, and so would the rest of America.

A merger or partnership is exactly what Ford and GM should do. Sorry you cant understand right out. By merging they no longer have to compete with eachother, allowing them to consintrate their efforts on forign automobile companys. Not to mention the fact that if they merge, their market shares are combined.
and then they minimise competition in the marketplace and force prices up…
REALLY. GAY.
