Hawaiian? Who invited this guy?

Ok… Jon has posted another blog entree! This is good! This means another fun blog entree to read, with a bunch of missed spelled words, some crappy punctuated sentences, and with a splash of love….

… I bet that is what your thinking right now? ehh? Well, anyways, everyone is expecting me have a real good blog entree to be published. As everyone knows, I am really pissed off with this kid named Tyler Cruz. He is like 22 years old and make a living off the Internet. I’m not mad that he dissed on myspace sites. I don’t care about that. I mean come on, I am sick off seeing some types of websites too. But this kid made a 20 million word article on how “in-moral” myspace websites are. And that people like me are egotistical assholes as are no match for the incredible tyler who has so much success than everyone else. Well that’s kool. Im not going to try to put him in his place or anything. I AM, however, going to write a article on what a “true entrepreneur is”. I’m gonna have fun with it, hehe.

In other news, im really tired has a went on a 8 mile hike today. The trail was rockier than shit. The trail is made for horses. So yes, I am tired. That’s why I am not writing anything interesting tonight.

Ok, with the website news. All them websites that I posted early-er are still under construction. Wont be out for a while. I worked on www.myspaceimagecodes.com and got that site work-en again. In 2 days 400 people have signed up. So that site is doing alright.

Im also getting a dual monitor setup going on. I ordered the parts. I have one 19″ lcd screen set up now, and i like it a lot. I cant wait for all the other parts to come in. yay!

Now, the fun part, lets talk about this “snow cone” business im looking into… I talked with my buddie and I will list below some of the specs below for the snow cone biz…

1. Have a Hawaiian theme
2. Name the store some kinda Hawaiian name (duh)
3. Sell another product, either cola or shakes (which ever one is easier to get into)
4. Talk with accountant, and get a L.L.C and have employees
5. Have the trailer professionally painted Hawaiian theme, with light colors, and really noticeable.
6. Put little umbrellas in the snow cones
7. I still need to talk with some sources about this
8. employees wear Hawaiian shirts
9. invest about 10k altogether, whatever money we make, buy another trailer, do that for a few years, then either sell or keep it (the business).

we still need to figure out if its worth it. That’s what I need to talk to my sources about. I will keep everyone updated. But if you are going to post a comment about this, remember one thing, I am just thinking about this. So post helpful shit…

Follow me on my journey of success and failures, it should be a fun ride.... Again, here is the link for the RSS feed.

Hello Jon,

I am a new reader to your blog (having found it from the MySpace flame wars going on over at Tyler’s blog).

I am impressed by your thinking, and your blog. I’ve added it recently to my bookmark for blogs, and I’ll be reading often.

Anyways, besides the introduction, I wanted to comment on your idea for snow cones.

I’m assuming that you live in a place that unfortunately serves a very warm climate throughout the year (sorry, I’m all for cold weather and four seasons). To be honest, I think this idea has plenty of potential.

I would guess that the profit margins are fairly large ($8.00 – maybe $10.00 per syrup bottle, and ice?) and you can turn around and sell a snow cone for about $3.00 – $5.00. I think you’re looking at at least a 350% if not 500% profit (I’m sure you’ve already looked at this yourself).

What I’d suggest for you though, is to not only serve snow cones, but have something that can compliment it. I’ve seen some of these snow cone huts by my local Home Depot and they sell hot dogs, chips, drinks, and candy. I’d also suggest you hit up the construction market – and act as a ice cream truck and drive around, as opposed to a stationary kiosk. The only downside is the gas money – but I think you can reach a much wider market, and that leaves a lot more room for profit.

Anyways, I didn’t have much to say that I’m sure you haven’t already thought about, but you asked for comments, and I’m all for it (depsite what your GF may think).

Glad to meet ya,
Bryan

Also, sorry to be posting this as a seperate comment (I am a blogger noob, and I’m not sure if you can edit comments) – but, I this idea just hit me.

I’m not sure if this is illegal, already available, or just a plain bad idea – but I would also considering serving “alcoholic” snow cones – mixed liquir into the syrup and ice.

Sort of like a daquiri – but…not. This can be sold along side of your regular, non-alcoholic snow cones.

Unfortunately, I believe you are still under 21 (as am I), and will unable to get an alcohol serving license (unless someone Of Age works it out, then you can serve it since you are above 18).

Stupid Idea?

Hello Bryan Le,

The achoholic snow cone was a great Idea. Someone first told it to me over msn. I accallu talked about it with my buddie… we came to the comclusion that we would sell as many snow cones because we live in a town with lots of mormons. The mormons wont like it, vus not taking there kids to our snow cone hut. I am also only 19. I can server it, but I cant get a licence. The licence is also expernive to get started.

But that would be a great idea from someone living more down south.

I have been researching and this is what I found on the profit margins…

It costs $0.08 to make a $1.00 snow cone…. holy crap that is cheap! haha

The ice is dirt cheap, we will prob make it ourselves. :)

hi, im not 100% sure but LLC’s only give you licence for about 3 employees or something. Which includes 1 secretary i think.
