I Surrender Google

Everyone knows that google doesn’t allow paid links without the nofollow anymore. Well, over the passed few months I have noticed that some of my rankings have gone down and a few of my websites Blog Loser and Loseralliance lost there pagerank completely. Not to mention my very own blog www.youratit.com has gone from a pagerank 5 to a 3.

It was nice to earn an extra few hundred dollars a month selling text links on my blog and network websites, but the work to money ratio wasn’t worth it for me. I could continue to sell text links on all my website and make a few hundred a month, but the time it would take to make the links look like they aren’t paid links take too much time. And the stress that comes with websites loosing there rankings overnight doesn’t help either.

So Google, here is my official surrender. As of Jan 1st I will remove all paid links on all my websites.

white flag, i surrender
Here is my white flag :)

I’m am just hoping that Google has the technology’s to tell the difference between paid links and my network links on my websites. It would suck to get deranked for linking to a website within my OWN network.

If you enjoyed this blog post than I think you should subscribe to the RSS feed. That way you can learn a lot more from me and laugh some more at my really bad grammar. Again, here is the link for the RSS feed.

This is the kind of thing that will eventually lead to the downfall of google. If you make it too hard for webmasters to make money with you, someone else will eventually create a rival service. Eventually that rival service will grow.. take over.. it might take a few years, but I think Google is getting out of hand.

If it helps….. Happy Christmas!! :)

I’m pretty sure there is a way to work around it with some lateral thinking, maybe just drive traffic from your site to one that you DO sell links on.

If you figure out a solution… mail me :)

My PR is still 0 and I really wonder if it’s because my blog is barely 1 month old or is it because I did a few sponsored reviews…

I say to just keep doing things as you did in the past: keep selling!

Btw do you think that Google link to the bottom of adobe.com has been placed by Adobe as their humble sign of gratitude towards Google?
NO! It’s a paid one :)

Sorry to hear about what happened however there are other, new alternatives. LinkXL.com allows automated placement of contextual links with no footprint. THey also allow the publisher and advertiser to choose if they want their links with a “follow” or “no-follow” to stay in compliance with Google’s TOS. Check them out, and we would love you as a publisher. Think of it, you could still make the few hundred a month with no-follows…..and not get any penalty….
