Do you ever get into those modes that last a few weeks that you seem to get a lot of work done? Well I’m in one right now! The last week I have been working very hard on Developer Hut. Its been great! I have PhpBB Hacks in beta and I have another 2 blog sites coming in the next few weeks. I also got a whole new myspace layout system going on loseralliance. I have users submitting myspace layouts left and write. I think I got 20 layouts today submit, its been great!
A few blog posts ago I mentioned that I was mentioned on young entrepreneurs about Developer Hut not having good quality content. They where correct up to a point. My network does not have a lot of content, but they content we do have has a lot of quality. The main thing I would like everyone to know is that my business is no overnight thing. It is impossible for me to wake up the next morning and have pages upon pages of great quality on all 40 websites. But I do admit that I need to work on the actual scarce of content that my network does have.
So I decided to get my shit together and put my goals for Developer Hut in phases. If I do this, I will be able to focus on a few aspects of my company instead of all of them at once.
1st Phase - We are currently in this one. Right now I am focusing on the actual development of my network, consisting on building great websites.
2nd Phase - I have already started this on some websites. Once a website gets done in phase 1, it will be in phase 2. This phase consists of a website being in beta, testing everything out.
3rd Phase - Here we will add all the content, and since I will start focusing on content, we will start adding a lot of quality content. Out with my old idea of having just enough content to make the user happy. That is laziness.
4th Phase - Marketing, Marketing, Marketing!
All 40 websites of mine will be put in these phases. This will help me keep focused and determined. It will also help me in my long term goal of having a office and a place were a few people can work for me. Yay!
