Marketing Strategy #2
May 28th, 2006 by Jonathan Waraas

Ok, this marketing strategy didn’t work out for me because the keyword I was aiming for was way over saturated. But my second marketing strategy was simply “link buying”. Link buying is where you buy links on websites that get crawled a lot by search bots. You can base the better web pages by Page Rank, Back Links, Alexa Score, etc. I went with the combination of Page Rank/Backlinks. Now I dont want to get in a fight with someone over page ranks, I found that the higher page ranked sites have better quality links. Well sometimes, but that’s why I checked the sites back links too.

Now was buying links does is simply points more websites to you (backlinks) and uses your keyword in the text. Now the more websites you have pointing to you with the same keyword means that you have a better chance of getting higher ranked in the site searches. However, I found out that you need to buy A LOT of links for it to do anything. So I say that personally this strategy wont work for me. I will still go buy the “content is king” theory and not to try the site searches that way :-s.

Now the site I used to buy the links was a really good website. The website is – Link Worth

I do suggest that method to smaller websites that have a little saturated keyword however.

Follow me on my journey of success and failures, it should be a fun ride.... Again, here is the link for the RSS feed.

Nice post. I have found buylinks ontop of other things like link trades and other 1-way links does really help with your Google rankings.
