PageRank Update For Developer Hut, Inc.
May 1st, 2007 by Jon Waraas

PageRank only comes in handy when you sell text links on your website. That is the only time I have used this thing they call a “PageRank”. Its kinda funny because it seems to give everyone a PR 4 for newer websites. Thats what most of my Page Ranks are.

I’ve decide that I will be offering some text link ads to be sold on Developer Hut, Inc. I will only sell to related website since it could hurt me for linking to shitty or non-related websites. And I was waiting for the Page Rank to update on the Google Bar. I will be giving away more info later. But anyways, here are my new PageRanks..

LoserAlliance.Com – PR 5 (went down from PR 6)
Blogloser.com – PR 5
NewToTech – PR 4
BuzzBums – PR 5
Funnyloser – PR 4
JonWaraas.Com – PR 5
Wordpressloser – PR 4
MySpaceImageCodes – PR 4
MySpace Loser – PR 4
XangaLoser – PR 4

So there you have it, some worthless numbers that only mean shit to advertisers…wanna buy a link?

Follow me on my journey of success and failures, it should be a fun ride.... Again, here is the link for the RSS feed.

i think PR has it’s uses … it does gives u more credibility if a website is bidding something and one has higher PG

Yeh I wouldn’t be too worried about PR unless I got to 7 or 8 :)

I don’t know if PR is entirely useless, but you’re right, it’s not as great as everyone makes it out to be. It just is worth something for advertising purposes.

My personal site was updated to a PR4 recently, and I changed things around frequently for the past 3 months. I don’t know the method to its madness. I think you all are right, it doesn’t mean much unless you are elite and get to 7 or 8. It seems like 8 is almost impossible for blogggers. Even the best blogs, don’t generate the kind of traffic that ebay and youtube generate.

Having said that, I feel like a PR 5 rather than a PR 2 or 3 will help you generate more Google search hits. My moneycrashers.com site generates quite a bit of google search traffic since its jump in PR. Who knows, Google is going to own the world soon, so maybe then they’ll reveal their PR secrets.

Now I see the update after I saw this post I checked all my sites and All of them are PR4 and PR3 Before I had site PR6 which dropped to PR4 and all other went down by 1. Also most of my link partners decreased so it looks like I dont get back to PR6 anymore :(
