The thing I love about JonWaraas.Com’s readers (you) is that you guys all participate in the blog posts comments. It really makes this blog fun. Keep it up! Anyways, Chromate says that if more ads will make you more money than having just 1 ad unit. I still think that having just 1 ad unit pays better. So we are going to do some testing! I added 3 ad units to every page. The main ad unit, then one of the right hand side, then a random one on all the pages. I will upload a screenshot tonight. We will see how the revenue does for the next few days. Maybe this will be a learning experience for me? Also, yesterday my servers where offline for 1/2 the day. That is why revenue is so low. And in a few days I will put up YPN to see how well they do. 
BTW, I am really tired right now. Sorry if this blog post dosent make any sense.. haha

Are you tracking all 3 ad units separately, or in one channel? You should do them separate if you can.
We have also found that fewer ad units perform better overall - in fact, we do a combo, 1 ad unit + 1 ad link unit, with the ad unit at the top and ad link at the bottom, and so far that’s been the best configuration for our sites.
But every site is different.
In fact, even within a site, things are different. We’re running a test on our top 40 pages, representing about 1/10 of our overall traffic, and we’re finding the CPM and CTR is different than the average… but not in the way we expected.
Yeah, I am tracking them separately. I also made sure that I have 3 ad units on every page. We will see how this goes

A question about tookle’s content, are the videos just scraped/collected/whatever you want to call it from around the internet like ebaumsworld does?

I’m running 2 ad units , 468 x 60 at the footer and 336 x 280 in the middle of the page. I’m averaging $30+ right now.
I think having less links is good because of higher payouts .
