Restructuring Week
January 17th, 2008 by Jon Waraas

I finally decided that I have to many projects going on. So I decided that I will just focus on the ones that I like to work on and the ones that actually make the cash money. Up until this point I’ve been working on about 5 different projects, plus many many more that I didn’t even finish. The big ones to name is the blackhat seo network, abri, e-commerce sites, and of course my content site network. However, my ecommerce sites and content network are the only projects that make me “real” money. Well the abri would, but I’m just too lazy for that, I’m and SEO kinda guy.

So I decided that I will cut down on projects this week. And restructure my current work ethic and business. I will be selling some websites that don’t make me much money, such as Newtotech and Fan sites 1 2 3 4. I just don’t have time to work on those sites, and I rather build links the old fashion way instead of using up server space.

I also canceled my second server and I am selling off some domains from my blackhat network, you can purchase about 60 domains for $250. I just need to get rid of them, if your interested check out the sitepoint sale. There are some good ones in there, but I kept the better ones ;)

On the downpoint. YPN canceled my account because of international traffic on one of my proxy sites. The funny thing is that I dont really care. I bough OIO Publisher and will be custom coding it so that advertisers purchase advertisement on my content websites, I will probably make more money this way than using YPN. YPN had great cost per click, but the click through rate was shit, meaning that I wasn’t making that much a day with them as I would like to have been. Plus, I don’t like relying on other companies for a monthly check. Paypal is much better :)

I am currently having Developer Hut redesign and I will be selling advertisement on that, the ads will looks like YPN ads but without the “Ads by YPN”. I will sell 4 slots a month and can almost guarantee that each advertisers will get about 100-150 targeted unquies a day to there website. I’m not sure how much a month I will charge, but it will probably be about .8-.10 per click. Advertisers will be able to edit there ads at any time and also be able to check stats at any time. I will be launching that on Monday.

Like I said before, I will be selling a lot of projects and just focusing on my main websites. This week I will be spending my time restructuring and editing websites. Next week I will launch the new ads and do some big time SEO’ing to my current sites to help gain some more rankings, which in return make more money.

I also haven’t officially launched WhoisSEO yet. The tool is still being worked on, and I would also like somemore content in the site before I start advertising. In about a week or so it should be all done. More info on that later.

I will be coming out with a bad ass MMA site soon. Keep your eyes peeled.

As you can tell I have a lot of work to do. I will keep you guys updated on my progress because, well, this is my blog hehe :)

Follow me on my journey of success and failures, it should be a fun ride.... Again, here is the link for the RSS feed.

Jon,

Hey dude. I just recently read an add about how to seo your 100% flash sites. Thing is.. you could have your flash sites indexed for one subject.. but users could see something totally different… I’ll email you the info tonight.

Che

ps. so excited about whoisseo.com

Letting go of the projects which are not generating worthwhile results is definitely an approach I agree with since otherwise, some projects which deserve your attention might have ended up being neglected.

Sucks you got your YPN canceled. Don’t worry though, there seems to be more and more networks coming online.

Quick question. You say that you make $xx,xxx per month on your Myspace sites, yet those sites have nothing but YPN ads on them. Seems to me that the numbers don’t add up…

I check my stats once a day.

Jon, what’s your MSN? I’ve added jonwaraas [at] gmail [dot] com but you don’t come online, I can possibly help you out with this stuff.

I know exactly how you feel. I’m half way through about ten projects. I’ve gotten a lot better at focusing on one, but there’s a new project every other week.
