I know I said I was gonna launch at 8 am, but I am tired and I need to get some rest. So I am officially launching it at 6.40 am my time.
The website is Buy Blog Comments and its an seo service where I sell blog comments to blackhatters looking to increase there SERPS.
I though up the idea because I use a few people to write legit comments on blog posts. So I though I would resell them to the world.
I sent out news releases to some bloggers. Problogger has already written a blog post about it.
Well im off to bed, I cant wait to wake up and see all the hate mail/comments
(exaggeration)
If you enjoyed this blog post than I think you should subscribe to the RSS feed. That way you can learn a lot more from me and laugh some more at my really bad grammar. Again, here is the link for the RSS feed.

Awesome site Jon. I’m sure you will get plenty of customers.
July 9th, 2007 at 8:54 am
You fail.
“I think it’s one of the worst business ideas I’ve heard for a long time and something that bloggers should stand up against. I know that there are other services and tools that do this type of comment spam but this type of thing only weakens blogging.” Problogger.
July 9th, 2007 at 10:11 am
I think you should have marketed this site differently. You’ve just tarnished what little good reputation you had left.
July 9th, 2007 at 10:26 am
Not the best way to launch. They say there’s no such thing as bad advertising… but with such a rave review by Problogger, it’s hard to still believe that. It’ll be interesting to see how you do.
July 9th, 2007 at 10:39 am
Arent you worried that it want last long? Most bloggers dont like spam and those comments could be anoying for someone.
July 9th, 2007 at 10:45 am
There’s no bad advertising my ass. People who say bad advertising is better than nothing are complete monrons.
From now on, the name Jon Waraas will be linked to blackhat, spam and overall uselessness.
Wasting so much time and energy and sacrificing his reputation just so he can make a quick(er) buck.
What a dumb kid.
July 9th, 2007 at 10:58 am
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. This is not only retarded, but I dare say Darren might be right with the possibility of it being illegal.
Nice link bait though… ass.
July 9th, 2007 at 11:26 am
This is hilarious! Maybe you’ll score the #1 Most Hated Blogger? Nice!
July 9th, 2007 at 11:33 am
I wrote an article about it too!

July 9th, 2007 at 11:42 am
Another product of a lazy mind. After all, you CAN do it…so therefore, you SHOULD do it, right?
I think I’ll pass on this one…but be sure to let me know about your next effort…no doubt something related to identity theft or child porn.
Oh..and I love the fact that you are such a “believer” in blog comments…but your comment links are still wearing the “rel-nofollow” condom. Just beautiful.
July 9th, 2007 at 11:50 am
Sorry, but i just think this is a terrible business model, i can’t see success in it..
July 9th, 2007 at 12:01 pm
[…] Der “SEO Service” von Jon Waraas, den er bereits zuvor angekündigt hat, ist heute online gegangen. Damit hat er auch das Geheimnis gelüftet, um welchen Service es sich handelt. […]
July 9th, 2007 at 12:25 pm
No matter what people say about this publicly, there will be buyers for it…new people in the blogging scene will think about this…i know because I did but decided against it.
Its your choice, and besides, someone actually writing the comments on your behalf is not as bad a spam commenting generated by some robot!
July 9th, 2007 at 12:28 pm
You were pretty stupid to have this associated with your “legitimate” businesses.
July 9th, 2007 at 1:14 pm
Wesley, Jon is anything but legitimate. He’s deleted a couple of my comments in the past. For example, I said his designer was “nothing compared to mine.” He deleted that comment. He can give criticism but he can’t take it. Once again, I’m truly unimpressed with Jon Waraas and his unethical nature.
July 9th, 2007 at 1:16 pm
this is actally a good idea, it actually doesnt seem that blackhat to me. I defiabtley thing you could make some cash with this. Its not automated, so i dont really see it as spam
July 9th, 2007 at 2:34 pm
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. On the one hand it’s taking blog commenting to the next level. If used correctly (which I doubt it will be) it could benefit bloggers and advertisers.
In reality what will happen is that bloggers will end up spending all day deleting spam comments. It like directory submissions all over again.
July 9th, 2007 at 2:53 pm
The more I think about it the more I realize this isn’t all bad. It isn’t automated and the comments are relative to the blogs. What’s the big deal?
July 9th, 2007 at 3:06 pm
Austin and Text,
In the past, I’ve tried similar services (paid forum posts) and they all suck. None of them are real quality. There were many spelling and grammar errors. I just hope Jon isn’t the one who is posting the comments. Then, the comments will be that of a 3rd grade writing level…at best.
I’m sure this comment will be deleted…
July 9th, 2007 at 3:12 pm
Jon, it is just plain sad that you are trying so hard to be your loverboy Eli. And associating this with your “real” business (As much as MySpace can be a business) is idiotic.
Well done thinking it up, but seriously, most people grow their business, not destroy it. Reputation is powerful, why don’t you give a toss about it?
Sad man, sad.
July 9th, 2007 at 3:39 pm
holy shit, there are so many uptight people around. lol. too funny.
It’s comments on blogs people, not fuckin’ “identity theft or child porn” like some retarded moron compared it to.
You people need to go out more and enjoy the weather or get laid or something to lighten up.
July 9th, 2007 at 3:42 pm
T-MobileSignal, your momma must of fed you Sprite instead of forumla or titty milk when you are a baby because your comments are just asinine. You seem to be bitter that your site blows and are taking it out on Jon. get a life.
July 9th, 2007 at 5:52 pm
“I cant wait to wake up and see all the hait mail/comments”
If your hired commentators spell and have the same grammar skills as you, it’ll be easy as pie to spot the fakes.
You suck Jon.
July 9th, 2007 at 7:46 pm
Seriously, you should be ashamed! Quick way to make money, like selling drugs.
July 9th, 2007 at 8:31 pm
[…] My suggestion to Jon is this: If this was a two-way relationship like with Text Link Ads I think this could work much better. Let bloggers who are friendly to the cause sign up, fill in some keywords and descriptions and then cut the bloggers in for half. You know have 100% opt in and no one wants to burn you at the stake. […]
July 9th, 2007 at 8:54 pm
Hey, its as simple as if you dont like the service, dont use it. He will have to deal with its success or failure. I commend him for actually having an idea and actually bringing it to life. Most people don’t get that far. While I personally would never use this service (im cheap), I say good luck to you.
Brendan

Also id suggest changing the prices of 500 and 1000 to give incentive to buy in bulk. Right now buying 5 - 100 comment packages is actually less than getting the 500 comment package. Usually people will get a price-per-item decrease when buying more. Just a thought.
July 9th, 2007 at 9:29 pm
looks like most people have some serious issues with this service. But there will still be those that will use it and those that won’t. Like someone previously said, it boils down to whether or not you will use the service, and that’s that. I don’t think this is the first time a hand full of people got on Jon’s case about an idea and look at the traffic it builds for him not to mention the linkbacks… and i think that was before he purchased his house… so he’s doing something right, and i’m sure some of you watch his blog in hopes to figure out what it is… It’s a start up and within a few hours he managed to get one of the ‘Big dogs’ to basically feature the site while at the same time trashing the idea, but regardless… you are all here anyways and those that are silently subscribing to his feed…
July 9th, 2007 at 9:56 pm
Hey very nice site john, I bet you will get alot of customers. Maybe me even.
July 9th, 2007 at 10:05 pm
Bloggers are getting mad because this service will kind of use them, you will be getting the money and they will get nothing but some comments per post in their blog.
July 9th, 2007 at 10:34 pm
Jon.
Don’t worry about the comment just keep focused on your business on Blog Commenting. I know your a good guy with a lot of knowledge. I have learned a lot by reading your blog and will proable use your service in the future.
And for the person talking shit about Jon being a loverboy to Eli. It’s called looking up to people and learning from them. If done a lot of things that Jon has done in the past but it doesn’t make me a loverboy of Jon. I just try to learn from people that are further in their path of success.
I like your idea,
Bob Schmuck

I recall Pay Per Post receiving some outcry from the blogging community when they first launched. It is still up and running today. This will be an interesting venture… although I don’t agree with it.
July 10th, 2007 at 1:30 am
I don’t really see a problem with it as long as the same blogs aren’t getting hit too hard all the time……………… but then again what’s black hat about that
July 10th, 2007 at 1:34 am
And you have a typo under what you get in package three, it reads only 100 comments, I’m thinking maybe 1000 is the right figure for this one.
July 10th, 2007 at 1:49 am
Ted - Thanks didn’t catch that.
I have been researching everyone’s responses. I will have another blog post here in about an hour to explain everything
July 10th, 2007 at 2:09 am
Lot of heaters I see…………..
So Jon, tell us any sales so far>?
July 10th, 2007 at 4:11 am
Jon, I expected something more legit lol. I hate spam comments on my blog hence why I have two spam catchers in place.
I think this service is something that will create a lot of bad press but something that many people will use, especially as it’s a cheap way to get backlinks.
Are there any implications of using such a service? i.e. getting banned from search engines or flagged by spam programs permanently?
Also, it would be interesting to know if you use personally and what sites you have used it on….also can you tell us the results it had?
I look forward to reading the next blog post,
Khalid.
July 10th, 2007 at 5:22 am
I won’t use such a service but I can’t complain too much about it.
As long as the comments pertain to the post it isn’t a huge deal, even though I will be deleting any that I detect and I’m sure others will as well.
This is something that is usually kept in the background of blogging, Jon has just brought it to the front. Probably something I wouldn’t personally do, but I don’t think it’s illegal.
It has made me 2nd guess using dofollow for comments, though. Even thought it sounds like from the description on the site they don’t care whether or not a site has dofollow turned on.
It sounds like people who have worked to get a good ranking, etc. are just upset because new people to the game can now buy the same status they spent 100’s of hours doing.
Anyway, that’s just my thoughts. This is all link-bait if you hadn’t noticed.
July 10th, 2007 at 6:17 am
Funny how you say “not spam” in one post and t”his is spamming” in another. That is really consistent!
July 10th, 2007 at 6:23 am
The thinking blog - can you point me in the direction in where I posted that?
July 11th, 2007 at 12:04 pm
Hey Jon - I just purchased a 100 comment package from you as a test. If it goes well I will post a favorable case study & review on my blog
I think it is a good idea in theory, it all depends on how it is executed though. I am interested to see how it will pan out in the future.
July 11th, 2007 at 12:43 pm
Using dofollow is still a good thing. I also use a handy little widget that is located inside my brain called URL Stripper
I’m sure spammers have gotten through my gates, but I have stripped my fair share of URLS from my comments as well.
July 11th, 2007 at 4:18 pm
LOL definitely getting a response!
July 11th, 2007 at 9:44 pm
Is Jon Waraas the Most Hated Blogger?
With the launch of Jon Waraas’s new service, Buy Blog Comments, he has gained a ton of negative attention. Buy Blog Comments is a service that let’s the “lazy” webmaster purchase packages of 100, 500, and 1000 comments. These co…

Best of luck with your new program. Will be lots of nay sayers but I think it’s a good service and you will find a client base.
Good luck!
