So much is going on right now! I have been working my ass off, and it has been paying off! Right now I have about 6 different projects/websites going on. I am also remodeling Developer Hut, Inc. in a way. I am working on getting my network optimized so that I can just hit one specific area in the entertainment industry. In case you don’t know what area that is, it is top niche websites. I want Developer Hut, Inc. to be involved with a good chunk of the top niche websites. Such as MySpace, Arcade, Blogs, Videos, and the list goes on and on!
One thing I am really thinking about doing is a coop media network with other webmasters! I’m still thinking about it, but it is a real possibility! What is your guys input on it?
Another project that I have going on is something that I am not sure why I haven’t thought about it before now. It is Web Hosting. It will be under Developer Hut, Inc. and it will be dirt cheap but highly reliable.
I have also been working on WordPress Themes these last few days. Looks good? I am hoping to get this site jump started a little to get me some extra cash money.
I will also be launching a pretty big advertising campaign to get New To Tech going! I want this site to be huge to help filter traffic through the network… So I will be putting a great deal of money and prizes into that site soon.
As of right now I am working on getting everything done. I probably wont start advertising anything until the first of January. I will advertise everything at once so I can focus on one thing at a time.
I cant tell you guys my other projects going on because their a secret..shh.. but I am hoping to make an extra 5k a month with them.. That will be good
Plugging Away..
Please join New To Tech! It is a pretty fun forum! There will be a lot going on in the near future, so join now!
If you enjoyed this blog post than I think you should subscribe to the RSS feed. That way you can learn a lot more from me and laugh some more at my really bad grammar. Again, here is the link for the RSS feed.

How’s the arbitrage going?
Hey man I’ve been following your blog for awhile now man. I’m heavily into investing and numbers and such. I would recommend advertising before January so you can use it as a write off this year since you own a business. That way it makes it look like you didn’t make as much this year on paper so pay for all those expenses by January
Also, I would recommend you open an IRA Roth with the money your pulling in. In Addition, I know you had the ING account but thats always something good to have, they insure your money up to $100,000. In addition to that, think about opening a fidelity account. If you have 50K, you can have them manage your account for you and you will have a full diversified account which is definately a plus at your age.
Now what I’m new to is websites, just created a forum community and could use some help…
Hey Kyle thanks for the tips. I will look into advertising this year for taxes.. but you have to remeber there is always next year
I already have a 401k maxed out
I already have my money in that money market account. I also like dealing with people face to face. Especially with 50k ya know. But I will look into the ING a little bit more..
Well in addition to the ING account (also they just raised their rates), you should think about an account under Fidelity because they will manage your money and you’ll have a fully diverse portfolio.
With the money market, your really not making much at all because you will be taxed on the profits and you have to also account for inflation. It’s always good to have some into a money market, CD’s, and bonds but not all your money. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Fidelity.com
Hey kyle do you have msn or skype? Email me at jonwaraas@gmail.com if you do
Kyle gives great advice. Diversification is the best thing to sustaining longterm growth and hedging against a down market. Fidelity is a good choice because they’ve got great mutual funds and solid money managers. In terms of mutual funds, you may also want to look at Gabelli mutual funds. I’ve held Gabelli Equity Income Fund (symbol:GABEX) for over 8 years and watched it grow to triple my money. It’s been great for me because of the growth through ups and downs which means its a relatively low risk fund. In any event, there’s no substitute for doing your own homework especially when dealing with your money.
If you haven’t done so already, you should check out fool.com (link:fool’s school). They’ve got a lot of cool info and tutorials on investing and about the market. The site might also give you creative ideas for a new site of your own. Good luck!
Shoulda got in on that damn Heely’s stock. Jumped around 10 bucks first day it went public. Partner made a nice 19K off it.
Good work on all your sites John. I must say though, that I find the suffix of “loser” on all your sites to be quite a downer. What lead you to choose that as your common theme throughout your network?
hey jon, love your sites. i have one suggestion for NewToTech, and that would be to make better sections. I know you don’t want too many to start and want to keep it to a niche but maybe look at http://www.tech-forums.net for some good ideas. the current sections just don’t seem like something you can expand or build off of much.
Firstly, congrats on making so much money at the same age as me! I’m thinking of starting the online websites for money venue myself (I made websites since I was 13, but they were purely fandom and never made for income) but sadly my college costs me $30k a year and I desperately need help to pay for it all. I hope to be as successful as you have become and hope to figure out the magic behind making a site that profits you the way yours have.
I’ll visit back again!
Good to see you diversifying. People like you, John Chow and others are an inspiration to my partner and I. We’re just starting to make it in the online world and we look up to people like you.
I really like what you’re doing here man. You seem to really have it all together. If you have the care and/or the time, I’d like to talk to you and get some advice from you about a few things I’m working on.
