I once was fat, I weighed in at about 210 pounds and only being 6′1″ tall. That was 2 years ago. And let me tell you, to go from 210 lbs. to 180 lbs. was a pain in the ass, and I recommend that you never get fat because getting the weight off is a major pain in the ass. It takes a lot of work. Right now I weigh 180 lbs.

This year I want to get kinda ripped. So I purchased a bench press and about 100 pounds of weight. I usually work out 4 times a day working a different part of my body. And I try to run 3 miles a day but its kinda hard with all the snow around. Lately I have been getting more info explosive exercises because they are a lot of fun and I don’t have to spend a lot of money on equipment. If you don’t know what explosive exercise are than youtube it. I really enjoy this one:

This week sometime I will be taking my tight ass into Big 5 and get myself somemore weights and equipment. Once I do I want to try this workout, and I know its going to pwn the shit out of me… Its called the 300 workout. Its getting more and more famous and it looks like it will kick the shit out of me. So pretty much it looks fun :)

Here is a video of the actors in the movie 300.

Does anyone else workout here? What do you guys usually do?

If you enjoyed this blog post than I think you should subscribe to the RSS feed. That way you can learn a lot more from me and laugh some more at my really bad grammar. Again, here is the link for the RSS feed.

I am practising kickboxing/Muay Thai 3 times a week and it’s a grueling experience. It really boosted my cardio and my dynamic strength. I also love doing bodyweight exercices, mostly from Matt Furey and Ross Enamait. I don’t do weight lifting. I use my body as weight - handstand pushups etc.

Watch your shoulders. I am 39 this years, and I lifted weights from age 21 to age 37.

Had to quit because of damage to the shoulder joints, too many bench-presses and shoulder lifts. Operation on both. It’s very common and it’s why you don’t see many old guys in the weightroom.

Technique, technique, technique. And don’t go macho on the heavy weights.

So weght loss slash strength training is the next field you are going to attack ehh? Well atleast you will have to show proof of what you ca do before becoming an expert in it.

Maybe like shoemoney you can start an mma forum……O wait you tried that. Lame Internet entrepreneur.

Waraas why do you even bother replying to this loser? If he linked to his website I would have left his comment, just so that the others can see the asshole he is. Otherwise, I would just have deleted it.

Jon I started with Tang Soo Do and got a black belt, did some weights around the age of 18 then dablled in jiu-jitsu and now teaching myself Krav Maga.

I wouldn’t go spending hundreds on equipment, it’ll end up becoming an extra hanger for wet clothes you want to dry. Start of with some basics, I personally have heard nothing but good things about kettlebells. If you like the 300 workout these babies will get you into shape whilst building strong muscles.

The good thing about them is that they can be used for lots of exercises. Keep up the jiu-jitsu, one of the best arts I’ve seen.

Good luck buddy.

I aint hating but just dont want to see you follow that stupid shit. The SEO service seems stupid because you are not an expert like you just started learning it from Eli like a year ago. Then you launched WhoisSeo.com and from what I have heard its pointless. Then you made like 5 posts about MMA then you launched a forum now weight loss and now I was just preempting that you might launch your very own weight loss site. I dunno whatever I guess. People are only stroking your ego on here. But you need to actually fully develop one of your sites because your shit just looks thrown together. get it right

I train Jon in his quest that is martial arts. And believe me, he is driven. I think that he he wants to take up different interests and try out different things, whether it be working out or seo, he should. Too many people play armchair quarterback. Get up, get out, and get something. Keep pursuing whatever it is that you want Jon. And remember, most people work, go home, jerk off, and do it all over again the next day. Keep expanding your interests and your money making.

Peace

bryan - Nope no weight loss site. All im saying in this blog post is that I though the 300 workout was something for everyone to look into. I have made some posts on mma, but what do you expect me to post about it? Openguard is a forum where me and my buddies can chat about mma, and slowly I will turn it into a bigger site. With the seo, I have been doing it for 6 years now, I have been doing all whitehat, I have been learning more blackhat stuff from eli. But I only teach whitehat on whoisseo.com. Sorry you feel that way, but please dont compair me with shoemoney, that is very very insulting lol :0

preston - thanks baby :D

Glad to see you have started training! Now the key is to keep it up and NEVER stop. You absolutely don’t need any fancy equipment or a gym to get a great workout.

One set of adjustable dumbbells is all you need for resistance training at home, and for cardiovascular exercise, jogging or cycling is great. In the winter, you can set up an interval training program using free weights and your body weight to combine both the resistance exercises and cardio.

Once again I wasnt trying to hate just didnt want another shoemoney. I need more proof your SEO Skills because it was only till like a year ago you were even posting about it. Considering 6 years ago you were making skate rails ? Im not sure if you were refining any seo whitehat or black hat skills?

Bryan, instead of just bitching, why don’t you show some of your achievements? You are just spitting on Jon, safely behind your anonimity. And if he did skate rails 6 yrs ago, so what? What’s the point of that? You throw in some of your “rules” at how something should be, blah blah, please, get a life, instead of pissing in the wind.

Hope you mean 4 times a week and not 4 times a day. Working out each bodypart once a week will suffice. The real work comes eating correctly and getting enough of sleep so you muscles can recover. 80% diet/20% workout is thrown around alot in the bodybuilding community.

Keep doing what your doing Jon! it seems to be working with a 08 truck, a harley davidson and a house.. not to mention a BJJ training place :). Im surprised Bryan goes to your sites so often and is not going out and pursuing his own sites and making money. if bitching made money, he’d be a zillionair! but now were off the topic no arn’t we haha. NBD.

I think the 300 workout is pretty intense and requires alot of commitment. I agree with Frankie about the 80% diet thing. Your body can only burn calories or vice versa build muscle with the nutrients in your body. Getting all the amino acids and complexed carbohydrates (with lots of water) is the up most importance of losing weight and gaining hard lean muscle.

Dieting is pretty hard. I was 207 pounds at 5′9 last year, but I just ate less rice and less snacking. The results = 165pounds :)

I’ve actually just joined my local gym, I bought a weights bench and weights but never had the time or motivation to use them really. What I like about the gym is even if I dont want to use the equiptment I can just go for a swim.

You should post a picture of what you look like now and then post another every month so we can see the progress :)
