“The only constant is change…”

… I agree 150% with that quote! I have been telling myself that any successful business now a days put lots of money and resources into making sure its staying currant with the current times. So I don’t not know what I was thinking when I wasn’t staying current with the times and I let this web 2.0 stuff slip right past me?

For the last 6 months I have been hearing about web 2.0 here and there. But recently, like last week, a friend on msn told me what it is and told me that I have been sheltered for not knowing about web 2.0, haha, I agree with him now. I have been researching this web 2.0 shizz for a week or so and I love it!

This is what the Wiki describes it…

“From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term Web 2.0 refers to a second generation of services available on the World Wide Web that lets people collaborate and share information online. In contrast to the first generation, Web 2.0 gives users an experience closer to desktop applications than the traditional static Web pages. Web 2.0 applications often use a combination of techniques devised in the late 1990s, including public web service APIs (dating from 1998), Ajax (1998), and web syndication (1997). They often allow for mass publishing (web-based social software). The concept may include blogs and wikis.
O’Reilly Media and MediaLive International popularized the term as the name for a series of web development conferences that started in October 2004. CMP Media, which purchased MediaLive, claims the term as a service mark for live events, reserving exclusive use of the term for its own conferences.
Some members of the development community see Web 2.0 as an overly vague buzzword, incorporating whatever is newly popular on the Web (such as tags and podcasts), without having any fixed meaning.”

Makes sense ehh?

Well this is what I think when I hear “web 2.0″

…. web 2.0 is the collaboration of webmasters to make the Internet simpler and easier to use. Such as making websites like desktop applications, large fonts, simple websites, using AJax and Ruby…

So, this is what is going to happen. I wont be a fanatic about web 2.0, but I will start heading that way with all my new websites coming out. I will make the simple to use, and look like web 2.0 websites. Sounds good?

I feel dumb for not keeping up with the current times. I need to start going back to sitepoint.com more. Or start reading more blogs :-s

Well anyways, www.blogloser.com redesign is done! yay!

If you enjoyed this blog post than I think you should subscribe to the RSS feed. That way you can learn a lot more from me and laugh some more at my really bad grammar. Again, here is the link for the RSS feed.

Web 2.0 I guess is the future - user created content….

makes it way easier to get more content when your own users are making it for you!
