Why Use A Network Of Websites?

Most people go the route were they just build 1 website, and then work there ass off on that 1 website. Some tend to make a lot of money off of that and once the site is set up they only work a little on the internets. Nothing wrong with that now is their?

Than why do I have over 40 websites? Why would I rather work on them all a little bit than focus all my energy onto one website? It’s not that I am throwing mud at a wall and hoping something will stick, its because I just have to rely on MYSELF for SEO weight. Instead of building links by exchange links with people, or submitting to directory’s, or writing comments, or finding more free ways to get links (which still works great too). All I have to do now is interlink between my websites to get weight to rank decent in the serps. And the more I have, the more leverage I have.

Here is an example:
3 or 4 days ago I built Cartel Fan Site in less than an hour with a custom cms I built a long time ago. I than exchanged links (not even 1 way links) between a few of my music related websites and now I am in 2nd place for “cartel fansite” and 3rd for “cartel fan site”. That is getting me about 15-30 unquie’s a day, not much traffic but that is still enough so spiders can crawl along to my money making websites.

I will go back to that site in a later date after the site has sat for a while and build come links to it so I can make some money off of it (all sites must pay there own rent). But the best thing is that I can place a link to my money making sites and gain more weight with that site… FOR FREE AND HARDLY ANY WORK!

That is why I rather build a network than focus my energy on a few sites rather than just one. I can also sell advertising space on them to make some extra cash aswell, plus the good money that my money making sites make me :)

If you want more info about networks, read elis blog post about seo networks. 1 2

If you enjoyed this blog post than I think you should subscribe to the RSS feed. That way you can learn a lot more from me and laugh some more at my really bad grammar. Again, here is the link for the RSS feed.

Wow, a very interesting way to look at things. I like to build a few sites within the same market.

The concept makes sense. But just checking the statistics of all the sites would probably take one hour.

I’m in the process of doing the same thing. I really like the concept of using your basement sites to drive links to your money making sites.

This is a good idea. I am working on a network of websites all in the same niche, but my coding skills need some work!

I just linked up all my sites. I only have 10 though. Ill see how it goes.

It is pretty easy to set up a small websites. I just setup wordpress, i have an already customized theme for my niche sites. That is all setup within the first 10 mins. After that i just make up a little targeted content and im on to building links. Its as simple as that.

I do want to get a few sites up not for making money exactly, but just to have a place to get high quality links to my other sites. Just taking those sites and continuously building the linkbase for them.

Cross linking from sites can be pretty powerful - as long as you avoid reciprocal links i.e. Site A links to Site B, Site B links to Site C, and Site C links to Site A etc

It’s a good way of quickly building links but I wouldn’t use it too many times within the same network of sites.

Oh, and yes - I think you can easily setup a site within an hour if you’re using a simple CMS or WordPress.

I have about 12. Most in a network interlinking system, some not.
